Sorry for my gormlessness. I can't seem to figure out how to move out of the first room.
I can:
- Jump up and down
- Crouch
- Stand up again
- Look around on the spot
- Open the door (but not close it again)
Any suggestions would be so appreciated!

To move the game uses the W, S, A, and D keys; not the arrow keys. Were you pressing those?
Can you be more specific as to where you are, or post of screenshot of it?
WASD to move, crouch is CTRL or C I forgot. SPACE is jump.

Have you never played an FPS before? Or maybe some car game? It's all with W A S D...
There's no need to be mean. It's not like everyone has played five dozen video games before. Not that it would be too hard to maybe check options and then controls, but oh well .. before all games used the control keys after all
