I study Medialogy at Aalborg University in CPH
They just moved from Ballerup to Sydhavn
If you like you could come by and see what we are doing? On top of my study, my company also resides out there (and yes we are starting up trying to produce horror games
)
I just filled it in, quite interesting.
Some of the questions are a bit hard to answer to be honest... do I fear that I will be hurt or do I instead fear solely for my character's safety?
Logic dictates the second option is the only thing that makes sense, but what defines a good horror game in my opinion is that it can make you temporarily forget about logic by immersing you to a point where you do indeed feel like you were fearing for your own life. So what do I pick there? (And do I get judged as being stupid and unable to discern between reality and fiction if I pick the first option?
)
Anyway, I hope you'll post the finished work somewhere - it will surely be an interesting read!
I agree it is a fuzzy area
But actually quite a lot of people fear for their own safety when playing horror games, and some feel both, its a matter of being empathic or identifical immersed, or both at the same time. But yes I will put most of my research online (I don't got full ownership of my work as I am still at the university)
