I'm sure that someone, somewhere has asked this question already. Unfortunately, I can't find the answer or the previous asker. Help the nooblette out? Big Grin

I'm currently just looking for a relatively user-friendly (preferably free or at least less than photoshop's cost) program that I can use for putting my custom levels together. Links to the download site would be much appreciated! Thank you~

EDIT: I should have made it clearer that I was looking for SCRIPTING programs, I've already downloaded the level/model/material editors and I have PhotoShop. Sorry about the confusion.
I could answer with a facepalm to that, but:

-Notepad++ will be enough for scripting.

-Here's the link for the level editor, model editor, material editor, etc

If you want to make models, you can use Blender, Maya or 3DS Max.
Hello Kiandra.

Welcome to the forum Wink

Above is mentioned your future best friend, the wiki.

Like Chaser said, you can use Blender which is completely free. For Maya or 3DS you might be some timed trials, and their are some Student trails.
If your new to making models, don't get discouraged if your first attempts are crappy. Keep at it and practice and you will eventually get better.

To expand more on Notepad++, it doesn't help you per say make better stuff. It makes it easier to write/view anything in text format.

And if your looking for a photoshop equivalent program, try GIMP. It has more or less the same capabilities and doesn't cost anything.
Thank you so much, all three of you Big Grin
I'll check out the wiki and try not to be a nuisance with questions!
