I put a kaernk in my cistern/sewer area and he's climbing the stairs onto platforms. What do I use to contain it to the water?

I think if you open the .ent file in a text editor, you can change the value at which it will automatically climb stuff. Change it to 0, then save it as a new entity.

I could be wrong, but I can't check because I'm not at my computer at the time.

Or lower the water level.

Yes, you could also try changing the water level. If you look at the cistern map from The Dark Descent, you'll notice that Frictional Games has their water level at y = 0.505, with the floor texture at y = 0.

It's the water level, i had this problem some time ago.

Yea, it happened me once. It began to literally chase me in shelves, bookshelfs and shit. It happened me in the CS "The Library".
