I saw Django from Quentin Tarantino. 10/10, really good film.

Suspension of disbelief can only go so far.

Of course, but it's a child. How many times have you been told to do something and then gone ahead and done it anyway? Or done anything stupid for that matter. My guess is very often. My point is that if you take absolutely everything at face value and write every character error off as bad writing, you would hate every movie ever made.

Aah, don't let them get to you BeeKayk. I absolutely loved Pan's Labyrinth as did many people. But I guess it is indeed one of those movies that you either love or hate. Wink
I also think its main problem was, that it was marketed entirely wrong. From the trailer you'd think its a whimsical fantasy tale, like Narnia or something, while it actually is, as Bridge said, very bleak and depressing instead. Which personally, I found to be a very refreshing change after watching all those "nice" fantasy movies like the Harry Potter Series, the Golden Compass or Narnia...

Well, it might be an odd structure, but that was also kinda the point of the movie. You know - because the film is telling you that
Spoiler below!
the whole fantasy part is probably not real. It's just in the girl's head, because she is traumatized and doesn't know how else to deal with the violent world she is confronted with, her abusive stepdad and and with the loss of her mother.
Last film I saw was The Hobbit. I seemed to have liked it but the rest of my family thought it was boring. :\

At least it was better than Skyfall which I saw before The Hobbit.

Saw that one too, enjoyed every second of it!
Django was the last movie I enjoyed watching, the last one I actually saw was Unbreakable with Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson.
I did not like that movie, there was so little going on in it. The whole movie was Bruce running around in denial, then towards the end he accepted "it", got into a fight, encountered a twist and then the movie was over.
At one point I paused the movie because I had to leave the TV a short second, I saw that there were only 30 mins left and was genuinely suprised since nothing had really happened yet.

Awesome Movie

That movie is an abomination. The characters were retarded, The story was odd as it was basically 2 movies completely parallel to each other and had no connection whatsoever other than the very end... which was bad on its own.

The only good thing on the movie were the character designs which I have to admit, They were very original and interesting... But that isn't enough to save the movie for having a horrible story.

Yes i know but somehow i find it good anyway!
I really like the creatures in it.

I also found Pans Labyrinth to be a great movie. It was interesting and quite unique.

Last film i saw was "Ted" and it was freaking awesome. I love that kind of sick humor Big Grin
Wow didn't expect so many posts so fast :o

I don't mind discussion about films, its interesting listening to what people like or did not like about films. But I really do ask, PLEASE AVOID SPOILERS!

Epic, just epic!

High five!
Ted. It was, eh, okay at most. The comedy was good at places, but other times I didn't even realize it was supposed to be funny.

7/10
