Hi.
I'm thinking in buy Black Plague for linux, but I saw that there is a windows spanish version. So, my question is, If I buy the linux version , there is a spanish, at least in text, translation.
There should be, I don't see why not.
linux and mac versions are english only.
English only? if it's because support, no problem. But, unofficial spanish is possible?, like doom3.

Or at least, if I buy the spanish version from friendware and yours version from linux, can I make a merge of languages?
I don't think so..? But I'm not sure.

Why you don't want to play it in english?
I usually understand english and I read some books, but if the game is playable in spanish is better.
If the game has play on words ("juegos de palabras") is more complex.

And, of course, if you can show the game in spanish in linux to your friends they may change their minds about linux.
Well, you can make a english to spanish conversion, which will allow other spanish people to play! It's quite easy actually, just takes alittle work.
If there's no problem with the IP I think I could do the translation.
Hi,
same question here, but with a eventual french version.

Many reasons. First, i'd like to offer this game to french friends who don't understand a single word in english.
I played the first penumbra with the english version, but even if you understand very well english, it is *by far* more pleasant in your mother tongue!

Ps : anyway, penumbra is a great game on linux, thank you frictional games!
Another thing is that if you play a game in your own language, it will be even one more step to identifying closer with the characters, which is essential in most games. The more you identify with the main character, or with the other characters, the more you fall into the game, and the more you feel with them.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is that it's theoretically possible to get even more scary when you play the games in your own language. Wink
