Oh lawdy lawdy how I disagree with that. It burns in my very soul! To me, the music provides the feeling, the lyrics provide the meaning, and the vocal component provides the character. The technical component of the singing is meaningless as long as the character is clearly conveyed.

Yeah a lot of my music can be a little unbearable if you can't stand harsh vocals lol. It's definitely an a acquired taste, but it's sooooo worth it, cause you open yourself up to a whole other spectrum of music. Actually being able to tell the difference between good and bad harsh vox is one of the coolest feelings ever.
