I can imagine the wait being too long that you decide not to actively wait for it anymore and put it out of your mind.

But when it gets released, refusing to play it because you're still holding an "I'm out" attitude is just childish. It's not like FG is going to see you pout and give you a lollipop, you're just missing out on the game yourself.

"Most" = just a couple who are in this topic (including myself). Minorities often make more noise than the majority. By the way, they noticed it since they recently edited the website's source code to respond to us.

Amnesia: TDD was about 10 hours the first playthrough. AAMFP is shorter according to D. Pinchbeck.

Not really six months of just polish. dont remember were exacly I read it but they said they added more maps after deciding to go for a full game, and also that they were definetely the best they had made, which would indicate that everything they made before might have needed to be polished to reach that same level of quality.

Also remember that the first amnesia's maps were very small, while these are if interviews dont lie much larger, therefore demanding much optimization considering it is almost the same engine as TDD.

Quote:Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs reached a major milestone last week, when thechineseroom sent us their final version of the game, representing over a year's worth of hard work. But don't get too excited just yet!

Some work is still left to be done. We are testing, tweaking, optimizing, porting, translating and all those things that are part of the process of creating and releasing a game. Currently we are looking at a release around Q2 2013.

How come a game meant for Halloween 2012 has been delayed for so long? Originally we thought it would be a short, experimental game set in the universe of Amnesia, but thechineseroom had a vision that was bigger than that. As their work progressed, the potential for a much greater project emerged. What we ended up with is no longer what we had first imagined, but a fully fledged Amnesia game. A different kind of Amnesia, but definitely not a short experiment.

More information on the game, pricing, requirements, availability and so forth coming at a later date. Stay tuned as we wrap things up!
It's about what you do not say? Game "polished" a thousand times! It's been six months! "Polishing" is not the creation of the game ... The game is ready ... They should give us the news and release the game.

Look, I think polishing is bug testing, beta testing, map editing (if the beta tester don't like this area), and script editing. This is just a little part. What if a developer suddenly busy or sick?

Yes, they should give us new information about the situation. But people who say "That's it, i've waited enough, i'll torrent the game" are assholes. Like a good wine, good game needs time.
I talked about the torrent? I'm for people to buy, but you can not be so callous to customers and potential customers! Wake up publisher!

I'm sorry, i didn't mean you would torrent the game. Just mentioning it.

Fuck this shit I'm out.

Doubt that it'll ever happened.
Is that a joke? Where did this quote?

Just a joke. If it's delayed that far then I'm out for real.
You scared the shit out of me Big Grin

I'd argue that's actually the biggest part of the game.
Look, i don't want to offend anyone. And im not that guy that wants to argue with people. But no one of you guys is in a position to demand anything from Frictional Games...

It's their game, so they can take as long as they want. I'm sure that people are going to be offended by that... maybe. But seriously, if you want a game so badly then you can surely wait a few weeks/months more.

Employees have enough ... They just do not throw all the power to release the game soon. They need to suspend the development of his secret project and throw everything at AAMFP. Later it continued to take up the next project.

Maybe working on the Super Secret Project will delay AAMFP, but every has the right to live their own lives including Frictional. Just because you're complaining about a game, doesn't mean the company have to answer.
