Full Version: Level Editor problem

I use custom static objects (Walls) of my custom story folder. You know I have to use it from there, otherwise others can't play my map.
Suddenly when I open the Level Editor, the walls change to different things, such as stairs from the castle.

So I searched for the problem. This didn't help:
Now I made a folder in entities I named it custom_ents. In the folder are all of my entities. Then I changed the MainEditorSettings.cfg by replacing the text of what you said. Then I restart my editor and changed the static_objects to normal and saved it. Then I restarted the editor again, this time I have no error but the static_objects are changed again.

There are many factors of this you could have done wrong in. You have to set the name of the wall mesh/texture/normal maps file as the same when you exported it from you 3D program.
Ex: export mesh: wall_01.dae. Texture: wall_01.dds. And so forth. try looking in to a tutorial if you can't find the problem
No I didn't made it from a 3D Programm.
The weird thing is, it actually worked in the past when I was using custom walls since yesterday.
I have 3 times Amnesia on my Computer installed but that shouldnt be the reason, I have 1 Amnesia on external hard disk drive which I currently use.
I now reinstalled Amnesia and I have still the problem
I just want to continue on my map so plase help me Sad
You say castle stairs? That's common of a pirated Amnesia...

Simply make a folder in your own Amnesia, called <Entities/static_objects<YOURCS

And put your stuff there. When you are going to release it, just put all your resources in your CS.
Well thank you for your help but I acutally solved it now by editing the resource.cfg lol
But I still have a question: Will the map be messed up if someone is playing my map who hasnt edited the resource.cfg?
If I'm not mistaken, if they play it won't be messed up, but it will if they open with the level editor it will. I'm not sure though.
