Min Start (Try values of 1-10+) marks the minimum distance you must be away for the particle effect to appear.
I have a little fog demon that follows the player in one level. I used the water monster, but changed the movement particle from water splashes to a fog particle. Unfortunately, instead of looking like an ever-moving fog, it sorta "juts" a few inches along at a time. I tried attaching the particle in the model editor but it doesn't show up. Still, the basic effect works well.
Thanks for the replies. I think I'll go with using many particles across the map, but just have them fade at a shorter distance. It doesn't seem to have much of an effect on performance at the moment.
