So I am compiling a list of Amnesia custom story "cliches" and I was wondering if you guys would help make this list complete.

So far I have
  • Shoehorned Golden Statue
  • Crowbar "puzzle"
  • Flying naked corpses

Any others you deserve should be on here? Feel free to tell me

The character wakes up to a note.

A note telling you where to find a key.

A sewer level.

Machine room puzzles.
  • Monsters appearing and disappearing a ways off behind locked but see-through doors.
  • Monsters appearing right after the player completes an objective or finds a puzzle item.
  • Every single background character keeping an extensive diary of what they've done today and leaving it in conspicuous places.
Something to do with occult. Anything at all.
20 keys of madness.
- No boxlight using in the maps, like completely darkness when you walk in corridors, hallways, searching rooms.

- Same old amnesia music

- Same repetitive puzzles, nothing refreshing

- Same old map design, nothing new.

- Copied scares from other stories, nothing new or refreshing this is really annoying and really hard to make a new ones, because there are so many scares and good ones too, but many players use those still and just copy stuff on their own mod.
True, but I don't think those are clichés so much as universal staples of bad design.
+999 candles everywhere.
cellar+darkness+grunt.
Prison areas. Everywhere.
Cellars and dungeons-and ALWAYS the big hall castle map.
