Yes, don't worry. I was playing with 4GB ram, 540M and a dual core i3 when developing.
So, when TDD ran fine on a intel core i3 GPU... I hope Pigs will be at least okay so i can enjoy it. I mean there are no hard viewable changes between the games. Well in my opinion. I can just hope for now Sad
(And now someone comments, to tell me im wrong right?)
You won't have any issues with an i3, don't worry.
But it says i5-i7 core... Well im confused but you made me happy with this... If its right. And i trust you because everyone knows more about computers than me... Eh Well if its true, you just saved my old computer Big Grin

Here's the reason for listing likely higher requirements than the game might actually need as said by jens:

They say "core i5, i7" but it's just indicatively, you don't have to take these words at the letter.

Three years ago, when TDD went out, I installed it on a old Mac Mini from 2006 with just 64 MB (or 32?) of shared VRAM and it works fine on it! So, don't be worried about your computer specs Wink
As Jens has said multiple times, it will work on lower-end computers. To be honest and i5 is too much. But it will make it easier to justify to someone why his game does not work if he has a lower-end cpu.

Either way, the cpu does not really matter. What defines Amnesia and the pigs is OpenGL. This is what causes problems because it's not used as much as Direct3D/X and thus drivers do not get updated etc, etc... So, what matters the most is the graphics card and not the processor. An i3 will definitely work.

What's sad for me is that there will be no demo. There should be something, even very small, just to be able for someone to download it and quickly check if his system is capable of running the game and how well.
You will all need quad titan SLI's in order to run the game.

Duh.

No but yeah, a bit more demanding than the original certainly, but unless your PC is really old, you should be fine.
Hi, I am not technologically savvy at all, so I really have no clue whether or not my computer will be able to run Machine for Pigs.

Mac
OS X 10.8.4
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
Processor Speed: 2.93 GHz
Memory: 4GB RAM
Video Card 1: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
Video Card 2: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT

I ran Dark Descent flawlessly, but I just want to check if I'll be okay BEFORE I pre-order.
You should be just fine. Your graphics card is below the "minimum" system requirements but my guess is that it will work just fine. A little slower than Amnesia but still fine.

Again, I have not tested the game. Keep that in mind guys! Wink
