Hey guys. We all know that when AAMFP gets released, some people will finish the game in less than half a day.

Now, I'm paranoid that some imbecile will create an alt account upon finishing the game and spam the boards on Frictional with spoilers from the game written in all caps in the topic title. Before the mods can close in all this guy, I'll have logged on to this forum and seen the spoilers, thus ruining the game's experience for me forever.

I also don't want to request a temporary ban when the game is released because I like #forumlyfe.

Any tips on getting over this paranoia?
Don't go to the forum while playing.

Don't look at suspecious threads.

Accept that the chance is there, and it either happens, or it doesn't.

Look what you're saying is that tomorrow I could be driven over from behind by a large truck, while walking on the street. We have enough trust in people to not ruin life for anyone.
How could you avoid this accident? By staying inside and never come out.

So either avoid the accident, or take the risk
One method I can think of is to subscribe to your favorite threads and then access those from your email. That decreases the chance of accidental spoilers by maybe 50%. But honestly, either be paranoid (which is good) and stay away from the forums until you finish the game or take a chance like everybody else.
I think I'm just gonna camp here in the off-topic section for the next two weeks.

This is probably the safest place of the internet right now... A screenshot of the monster is spreading like a plague, one guy saw it even in deviantart. But nobody comes to off-topic, right?
Haven't touched AAMFP board since pewdiepie's video came out.

I feel like a WW1 soldier hiding in the trenches while being shelled.
I wake up, and see this as one of the first new threads: " Amnesia AMFP SPOILER THREAD *ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK* "

It is now I know that it spoiler bomb dodging time for the next two weeks.

Except this is the internet.

Well, just thought I'd add my two cents to this:

In real life it would be reasonable to be optimistic about not getting run over. But when you take this metaphor, and reshape it a bit...the internet being the street, the truck driver being the spoiler...we now have a world where truck drivers run around madly running people over for fun.

Yea, ok my metaphor wasn't that good.
My point was: Take the risk or hide at home
