The steam store page states as minimum OS version Windows Vista. Is that a mistake? The game uses a DX9 renderer I assume, like Amnesia.

gog.com states XP is supported.

gog.com states XP is supported.

Does Amnesia run on your PC?
If so then I trust that the newest Amnesia will run on it too.
Well first it isn't DX9 it is openGL based.
If the current Amnesia runs it probably won't be a problem.

Last but certainlt not least you can download the windows 8.1 preview for free from microsoft.
The game MIGHT run perfectly well on an XP, but it's not a supported system, so if something goes wrong, then there's nothing that can be done about it.
I guess one of the Frictional guys could clear this up.
Probably runs but have not been tested and as Traggey says, if something is wrong it is not supported and will not be fixed.
Thanks; why would gog.com list XP as supported then?
That's what the seller promises. If it doesn't work on XP, then it's false advertising.

Oh yes, maybe they tested the game at XP and saw that it works. Maybe it's just false advertising as Scrap said.

My guess is that almost certainly it will work just fine but as already mentioned no support/fixes can be given in case of problems. Maybe some unofficial fixes/guides like Amnesia and Intel cards. But that's all.
I'd like to add, both Toki Tori 2+ and Dishonored don't support XP (officially), and run very well on my system, as well as the original Amnesia.

So I think the odds are for me! Wink
