Ever since my university life started, my germaphobia has gotten progressively worse, in particular because of public washrooms and showers.
The dorm janitors are pretty nice and clean the showers every week, so there's no reason for me to believe that some flesh-eating virus lurks there. Still, every time the tip of my clothes or towels touch the walls, floor, or curtain, a wave of mental agony surges through my mind. I always shower with sandals on.
Today was the worst. My clothes spilled out of their basket a bit while I was reaching out for them from behind the curtains and the cuffs got wet on the floor. I'm paranoid now that some deadly bacteria has already seeped into my skin and I'll wake up with typophobia-like holes on my skin.
