I saw this movie yesterday night on TV and it surprised me very well. It showed me a new kind of affectionate horror.

When you like decent horror movies, this should be a very good choice! It's not about "shock-effects" like most other horror movies. It's an emotionally and melancholic drama. Not the scariest, but made by extremely talented people. What do you expect? It's from sweden! One of the best horror movies I ever saw.

Haven't seen the american version, but I think the original is pretty good.

Yes, this is the original. The US-Remake is calling "Let me in".
Seen both versions. Obviously the original is better. The American remake was not particularly bad or anything, however it did very little to add to anything and it didn't warrant a remake whatsoever. Typical Hollywood cash-in much like what they're doing with Old Boy now and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

They probably thought it'd be good to chance their luck on cashing in on it based on the recent zeitgeist that has emerged since 2007 when teenage girls decided they would be obsessed with vampires that were sort of vampires but more emotional haha.
Blame a certain sparkly one and shiny book covers :p
Or at least that's what it seems like. I can't say for sure since I wasn't actually obsessed with moody blood-drinkers c:

Movie looks interesting! I might have to check that out in my spare time.
One of my favourite films ever. I love how it portrays vampirism through an innocent and pure relationship, devoid of lust and malice. It's so different than any other vampire films I've seen!

Most vampire movies wound up in clichés and shock effects. But "Let the right one in" is an excellent exception - and offers intelligent horror of affectionate kind.

This movie is very different to everything you know about vampires. Otherwise I wouldn't like it so much. In general I hate vampires, but the movie has the power to show how make it right.
