Well hey-de-hey all my fellow forum folk! Now as some of you may remember, I made a thread back then in which you could ramble on about your favorite games of all time. Well now I present to you the movie version of that thread! The Throughly Fanboying Thread #2!

Rules are as you expect, and very similar to the previous thread, except with movies this time around! So I'm just going to be lazy, and copy paste edit the rules from last time:

1. Share with everyone here your personal favorite movie(s) of all time, and preferably why. If you forget something in your first post, you can come back, and add it later!

2. There is no limit to how many movies you may share although it is preferable that you only share the ones highest ranking in your list.

3. REMEMBER! This is the personal favorite movies thread, not the best movies thread so just post whatever games you just love, love, loved even if you have no idea why you liked it so much. You enjoying it more than any other movie in your life is reason enough!

4. You can post short films, or non-profit independent films if they hold up as the best experience you've had when watching a motion picture. TV series, cartoons, anime, and any sort of longer running series DO NOT COUNT. There will be another time for that later hehe.

5. Feel free to lose all control, and praise a movie to the high heavens venting out all your suppressed emotion for it. There's a reason for that alternate name in the title. This thread is basically going to be love letter central.

6. Respect opinions. You can disagree with someone, and have discussions, but respect above all. Ok? Hallelujah.

7. You must have Amnesia in your list lol......oh wait...

Now as always I shall be starting off with my own favorites of all time, namely two. I don't really feel up to writing massive walls of text this time around, so I'll just drop the few prime reasons I liked them so much:

Spoiler below!

I'm an absolute sucker for cute movies, and this movie for me I felt took it to that level, and beyond with its charm. There are many moments in the movie which I felt were captivating, and just plain beautiful. There were just so many moments in this movie that I felt fuzzy warm feelings inside, and was just moved at how touching a lot of it was.

It may be hard to argue that it is indeed Pixar's best movie, but for me Wall-e is my favorite from their long lineup, and one of my favorite movies of all time.

In stark contrast to my previous pick, I chose There Will Be Blood for my second pick. Why? Because Daniel-Day_Lewis completely kills it as an actor.

You can absolutely see the greed, corruption, and farces that his character puts up to get away with his goals, and is definitely one of the movies main carrying points. The strong plot with amazing pacing only further amplifies the messages in the movie making it quite a spectacle to behold if you can stomach it all in, because the movie does get quite depressing at times. If you can, it is a amazing depiction of the darker side of human nature.

Well that's all for me! What are your picks!? Post away my underlings!
The Butler
Gravity
Narnia films
Harry Potter films
The Fountain
Fight Club
Pi
Moon
Requiem for a Dream
the 3 extra long Futurama episodes

Didn't find it that special. Yes, it looked good but the story, I felt, was weak.
Clockwork Orange
Alien
Brazil
Big Fish
Moon
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Pan's Labyrinth
(no specific order)
The Pianist

Aside from the fact that it has bits of Chopin interspersed throughout, the movie is very dark and brutally realistic.

I also like pretty much every animated film from Studio Ghibli.
The Indiana Jones Trilogy
Jurassic Park
Close Encounters Of the Third Kind
Atlantis: The Lost Empire
Titan A.E
Aliens
Star Trek First Contact
Moonraker
GoldenEye

And a bunch of other movies I can't think of at the moment.
The Shawshank Redemption, seriously, thou should watch this divine movie.

And Spirited Away, almost forgot to mention.
Mac and Me. It taught me the true meaning of burgers.
