Full Version: Mac OS 10.9 Crashing

I'm on a Mac Pro (Early 2008) and recently updated to OS X 10.9. I purchases Amnesia years ago through Steam when I was running 10.6.8. The game worked fine. Now, after the update, it seems Amnesia is not compatible and crashes when I attempt to start the game.

Because I purchased the game through Steam, the HPL.log file is not in the location suggested by the troubleshooting page. And I'm not entirely sure where to find the crash report now either. Hopefully this is a known issue. Is anything being done to make Amnesia compatible with OS X 10.9?
The issue is known but there is not a known solution yet. Trying to get it fixed as soon as possible.

Oh, hi. Thank you for the reply; I didn't know if I should expect one. I'm happy to know this game is still getting support. I'd really like to finish it now that I've finally worked up the courage to come back to it!
A forum user came up with this workaround solution while waiting for a proper fix, http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thread-23953.html
Steam seems to compile the game much differently when downloaded from their client. Everything is scattered around. Without knowing what makes that fix work, I'll have to wait for the official patch.
Did Amnesia have an update recently? Between now and the last time I attempted to run it, I've updated Steam, Adobe Flash, and upgraded to 10.9.1. I tried the game today and it launches, free of crashes. If it was Frictional, thanks. If not, thanks anyway. Can't wait to get back into it.
