It's still a beta. I would recommend to wait if you're not familiar with linux based os.
But those who are, you can download it from this site: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/steam-box-...46569.html
Can I see some demo videos? And can we like still torrent stuff and whatnot?
what exactly is this for?
I don't see the point of an OS if current software right now doesn't work for it.

It can be generations ahead of our time, but if nothing works on it, what's the point? (Aside from Valve stuff that has been converted, which can take a loooonng time)

Also... is this something of a emulator of an OS that works in conjunction with your main OS? Or did they throw in a lot of backward compatibility to work with Windows/Mac/other OS(s)?

It's emulator of a debian linux os, i guess. That's what i think it is.
So some linux knowledge is needed.

Tried to install the os with full tension on but failed.
It's more like an aplha now, it needs some professional tricks to make it
work i guess. I'll update the theard when i get more information on this.
This OS isn't supposed to replace any real OS.
Here's some information how to install the os on the VirtualBox:

And a random preview video i found:

Yeah, the OS is what you get if you don't want to buy a steambox.
