I know I already made a thread by the same problem, but I noticed that no one is viewing it anymore so why not make a new one! Let me just explain exactly what is going on pls.

I re-installed the material editor multiple times, but when I save the file, a mat does not appear in the file, i tied saving it in a different location but still gets the same problem!

Now I don't know why this is happening! I have the new updated material editor! maybe because mine is corrupted.

Can someone send me a copy of their material editor, maybe it will work! cause I can't seem to find the thread where they updated a patch of the editors. I'm to freaking lazy

but maybe if that's not it, then I don't know what's causing it not to work, the image size is fine, this is kinda frustrating I really want to make some textures, but the material editor is just being a bi***

What are you trying to texture?

But I mean, what object? A table or a chair or something?

You don't have permissions to save in that folder.

Run the Material Editor as an Administrator and try making it then.
Or make sure that your redist folder and subfolders are not read-only.

If that doesn't work, plug in a USB, save your texture onto the USB and then copy and paste that to the appropriate folder.

Also, don't use .jpg

use direct draw surface (dds)
