just help people, it's worth it; even if they're jerks, other people notice your generosity.
I think the thing is more, can I go to another place even though I'm working with this guy?
And the answer is also in real life: If somebody don't answer you for 2 months, something is either wrong, or you don't seem to mean that much and thus the project didn't mean much either.
Nothing stopping you from working on something else with whoever you like.
If I had some kind of major life crisis going on (a bereavement for example, or if a loved one was seriously ill, or if I was imprisoned, or physically or mentally ill myself, or even dead), I probably wouldn't be rushing to the FG forum to make sure everyone knew about it. People jump to conclusions about this sort of thing So I think we sometimes have to accept that people online are iceburgs, and we only see the tip.
(I wouldn't worry about their wellbeing too much though because, for example, if you used the power of the internet to try some harmless snooping and saw that a user had been avoiding the FG forums for about a month but that their Twitter and YT were active then that might raise different questions and maybe you'd just have to get over it but hey let's not go around checking up on people coz that's not cool. Who would do that anyway?)
Well as if I have nothing better to do, I'm off to announce a few things. Hopefully you will see the results today.

Wrong, sir! Wrong! Under section 37B of the contract signed by him, it states quite clearly that all offers shall become null and void if - and you can read it for yourself in this photostatic copy - "I, the undersigned, shall forfeit all rights, privileges, and licenses herein and herein contained," et cetera, et cetera... "Fax mentis, incendium gloria cultum," et cetera, et cetera... Memo bis punitor delicatum! It's all there! Black and white, clear as crystal! You STOLE Fizzy-Lifting Drinks! You BUMPED into the ceiling, which now has to be washed and sterilized, so you get... NOTHING!!! You lose! GOOD DAY, SIR!
