That's a good question.. I also tried to listen Overture and BP musics not too long ago without playing the games. As u said, those musics are in the OGG (somekind zip mode), and unplayable in any programs.

Yeah, get Winamp. It's free and highly customizable. You can listen to pretty much everything in it and the only drawback is that if you move some music from one folder to another the player will start going "Cannot find track".

@ROT51: Actually, OGG Vorbis is an audio codec. Pretty much like what DivX is for video files.

Or if you like to convert your ogg. files to mp3, use Google and search "ogg to mp3" or something like that to find some freeware programs or trials of some.

VLC is kinda good. A little unstable though and crashes sometimes. ^^

Most popular music players has support for plugins and extensions, so you could probably find a .ogg/ogg vorbis plug to make your music player support the format. So you don't have to use a new program just to listen to .ogg files. If you do want another program to play strange audio formats I recommend XMplay, it's small, does not need an installation/uninstallation and is super fast at starting. http://www.un4seen.com/xmplay.html

Winamp all the way ! Still the best audio player for PCs, that I have seen and tried up until now...
As for converting file formats : I use the Audio File Format Converter of Easy CD-DA Extractor 8.2 - simple and fast to use, with very quality sound outputs.
