well ive been playing black plague shorty and i got stuck in this place... so,not liking it, i checked the walkthrough and noticed something FISHY

i recorded a vid of the problem(also volume is very low, sorry for that):

this is a very known bug. I guess when you entered the room the barrel was already on fire right?

I suggest you update the game with the latest patch and start that level again.

ye it already was on fire and i tried addin the patch... dont work

Try loading a previously saved game.

well the game is saved before entering this room :|

EDIT: tried olding an older save, same thing

This bug happens if the game has not been updated properly, make sure that the penumbra.exe is updated as well and not just the game files such as maps, scripts and models.

well a reinstall and some meddling around with files in notepad fixed it
