Everything else aside, what custom story scared you the most?
And I don't mean fear of having another jumpscare, I mean like a real fear that something is right behind you at every second.
I can't fully remember what it was called (I got a new computer and lost all my cs') but I think it was called Hide And Seek or Hiding And Seeking or something along those lines. Worth searching for.

White Night is overrated to high heaven, and pretty damn poor in many respects (Seriously, it's shite. Don't bother.). La Caza is buggy, and I was pretty bored by it all. Through the Portal was pretty good, though not that scary.
Palistov's holiday series is pretty good. Library of Alexandria was pretty good and scary.
I have to agree, White night is overrated.
I suggest trying out the trapdoor, to me it's the scariest and most well made amnesia CS/ Full conversion that you can find out there.
If you've already played the classics, A Coward's Debt is one of the scariest stories created lately, in my opinion.
Sadly I watched a Let's Play of that so I can't play it myself now.
It was absolutely fantastic though, and terrifying.

Agreed, and not just saying that because of bias.
I think, personally, it's the use of sound that really gets to me. Eric did a phenomenal job with the monster noises. 0.o
Other than that, I haven't come across anything that really got to me....
