Hello guys
i have a problem when i want to make my own custom story
i cant edit or make new files in the amnesia install folder
is it has to do with the folder permissions? or other account setttings.

It's likely installed within your Program Files (if on Windows). What OS are you on? I think Vista has some UAC (User Account Control) issues. Make sure you have administrator privileges and that the files aren't set to "Read-only" but rather "Read & Write." I think you can do this on the file's / folder's Properties.
i have win 8.1 already checked the read only thing but wont change to unchecked
Do you have sufficient access to make it not read only? Are you an administrator?

yes only account on the pc

I can't really help much more beyond that however. What I can say though is if you save anything in the folder from a folder and it does not appear there, it can be found in the VirtualStore folder.

i will see if it work but i mean make txt files and cfg files in the custom story folder for my own story

oke just fix it by giving permission to all the users on the computer admins, admin and my username[melvin] and uncheck read only on the custom_stories folder thanks for the help guys
