In the water caves in overture, I tried doing that, and then the walkthrough said to do it too, but it won't let me. Yes, I'm crouched, I've tried the puddle of flammable liquid and even the broken lamp itself, and then the spiders come and I die.
Argh, can someone give me a save at the storage area right after the spider caves?
It's not really necessary to light it up. But try you're lighter. It should work.

What else would I be using?? I am using my lighter! But anyway, screw that, now I'm stuck after the indiana jones boulder part, because I cant bash the walls in time and then I die too. This seems unavoidable, and I wasted my dynamite on the dogs.
I'm pretty sure you can scare off the spiders with the flashlight, no? otherwise, try till you die. ^^

Hell, I even tried throwing flares in the passage, that didn't work. I'm so close to the end of the damn level, this is incredibly frustrating. Plz give me a save at the storage area..
If it wouldn't for that my PC dies when I try to run Penumbra, I would play through to the storage room. I hope someone else is willing to give you a save.

I just can't understand if can't set the paraffin on fire by using the lighter. It must be some sort of game error or glitch. But this savegame should work.

Lol, Since I was in such a panicked state, I was using the com radio, which looked vaguely like the fire lighter.
I feel stupid.
