What kind of food do you reckon the remaining survivors eat? The Doctor woman that Clarence tricks you into killing has locked herself in that room for a long time, she would have to have been eating something. What kind of food would remain around after all the shit hit the fan. Do the infected eat? Or does everyone just survive on rodents and engine oil... hehe..

Tell me what you reckon!
A life on rations..hmm. energy bars maybe? *sigh* sometimes being a survivor is hard Big Grin:
I reckon they would eat mostly canned preserved food which can last a long time. As for drinking supply.. they could probably just melt the ice with a fire and drink it like that?

yeah, i would assume so. also, remember they had those cereal boxes in the shelter, and those burlap sacks of flour maybe. they musta been kitted out for a good couple months.
Well, in the case of our locked up scientist
Spoiler below!
she has a working soda can machine in her office. If you save the coin you got in the beginning of the game, you can use it here, I think, and lots of soda cans will pop out.
Yeah? That is very cool indeed, I didn't even think to use the coin on it as I thought it may have been broken Tongue

It seems they could have survived on food staples like flour and stuff for a while.. but eventually it would have to run out.. maybe people resorted to being like Red and eating rats..
Actually there is plenty of food in the Penumbra games, come to think of it. Nice detail.
In the mining area there are lots of rations everywhere. Inside the Shelter there is cereal, ketchup and a soda vender plus some empty burlap sacks. I also believe there is some whiskey laying around in both on the boat and in the mine.
Oh, and there there's rodents, spiders, dogs and people.
Yeah I suppose you're right, but they are all finite resources.. someones going to die of starvation eventually..
Yeah, so you better get going!

For the infected, i suppose you have to assume some pretty peculiar nutrition. And for the others ... they're so few ... they crap off anyway ... so who cares?:redface:
obvious award 2009

weren't there lab specimens in the room with the box? I'm sure a few fetal Tuurngaits can turn out to be crunchy treats.
