I suck at math, I need help.

So I've been stuck with this issue and I cannot solve it. Been trying to mess around with every possible solution but nothing has helped me in general.


y = 5x + 3
y - x = 11


Don't judge me from how easy this is, I'm swedish.

Y is 13 X is 2. I'm not sure how to solve it though...

Y=5x+3
Y=x+11

By eliminating:

4x-8=0 so x=2

Subbing into any of the two equations will yield y=13

Y=5x+3
Y=x+11

I totally forgot you could do that, god damnit. Thanks guys.
