Hello, I have been having big framerate drops. Attached is my HPL file and my specifications are:
GTX 760 2GB Nvidia
Intel i5 4570 @3.2GHz
8gb ram
80GB SSD
1TB external (where Amnesia is installed in)

After looking through the HPL file I have found that certain things failed to load, but verifying cache on Steam did not resolve this problem.

I recall having this issue before (I even posted here a year ago) but I am unsure what steps I took then to fix it. Alas, it has come up again and it really is quite the nuisance.
If you start a new game or play the game from the saved game but play so far that you load a new level, is there stutter then as well?
Sorry my mind through cell as prison (from the original game) but re-checked the log and see that you start a new game in the expansion. You have some strange issues in the log that we need to check tomorrow.

Can you describe the big framerate drops in greater detail? How often does it occur and a drop from what to what and for how long.

It occurs every 3 seconds, sometimes I get lucky and get 60FPS. I haven't kept track of how bad the drop is, if it helps I could upload a webm of the issue in action?

Seems as though Shadowplay won't record Amnesia, but I have the latest HPL file from a save from a recent new start. Not as many drops but still a pain.

I am assuming that these missing things are not normal, correct?
Well I tried the game again and it crashed shortly after loading.
I have never seen this DevIL.dll error before, strange. First, try a nvidia driver clean reinstallation (option at setup) and don't change anything at the Nvidia Control panel under 3D Settings regarding General or Amnesia-specific settings.

If that doesn't solve this, try something. Download the attachment and copy those files at the Amnesia installation folder. It should replace 1-3 files. Attach another HPL.log afterwards.

HPL now, will update after replacing files.

HPL after replacing files, Justine this time.

The attached file (hpl (2).log) is the base game before replacing files.
Alright, the DevIL library does not seem to make a difference at the log file so do a file integrity check to revert any modified files to default. The stuttering could occur though due to the external drive. Maybe it's older and thus slow (USB 2.0 for example).

Regarding the other strange errors, Jens seems to be interested in them so we'll see what he thinks tomorrow. Wink

It's always been installed on my external and never had this problem on it. It also occured a year ago and that was on my internal HDD. Also it's USB3.
Yes, it was the devil message and some new errors in the log that I noticed and will look into further today and possible ask one of our nifty programmers to look into Smile

However I don't think these errors are linked to the frame drops. Do you recall what user you posted with a year ago? Maybe a clue there what was done last time to solve the issue.
