After an unsuccessful Kickstarter campaign, the first part of The Old City has been released. It was originally intended to be a single game, but the developers decided to split it in three parts, the first one being "Leviathan".

From the Steam store page:

Quote:The Old City: Leviathan is an experiment in first person exploration that focuses entirely on story. All that exists is you and the world. Set in a decaying city from a civilization long past, The Old City: Leviathan puts the player in the shoes of a sewer dwelling isolationist.

This is the most visually gorgeous and enticing game I've seen in a long time, with a beautiful soundtrack composed by Simon Heath (the mastermind behind one of my favourite dark ambient projects, Atrium Carceri).

The reviews on Steam are quite positive so far, with only 1 negative review out of 19.
Looks nice. The city reminds me of City 17.

I read about this game awhile ago and I think it said that it was actually made by some of the designers from HL2.
