It's still a little too early to say "It will be better!", but I won't deny I'm certainly hopeful, and relatively confident that it will be better(which is why I voted "Yes".) But still, it's too early. As long as they keep the spirit of Penumbra, and manage to pimp it out quite a bit, then they'll be in business. :-)

But as Kedjane said, FG is probably still going to be more renown for Penumbra then Unknown, unless they're REALLY able to amp it up.

It's just what you think.

Why do you think it will not be better?

FG has proved that they can make a better sequel than the original. They had a small downfall but every company has that.

I think it will be better because we don't know what to expect from it.

Well, it's hard to think it will be better than overture, I love the atmosphere in it! But of couse, I hope so.
Personally, I think that if you believe that the best that can be made by Frictional is the Penumbra series (or a game there of) - You are setting the ceiling far to low!

The games were great, but I feel lacked a certain level of polish that could have really improved them.

I don't want to nitpick though... so I'll just say that I think the next game should be better if for no other reason than this:
The FG team (small as it may be) must have learned a hell of a lot from building their previous games. The application of that knowledge should lead to something new and interesting. And in all probability, better. Wink:
I think it could be good, but there MUST be another penumbra sometime! It has even more potential than that is used.
Dude.

The story ended.

There's no need to keep trolling.
