I have a big problem and I want to discuss.
First of all Amnesia Justine appears to be very annoying. Why in the world would someone (Justine DLC creator) delete save command. Plus Story is to difficult than why didn't he put save command after all? Can you please respond to me?
Probably to increase the terror thing or something. Besides Justine just has three (hard) levels.
There's a Justine mod that "fixes" that. moddb.com

If you die playing Justine before the third level, you're doing something wrong.

In actuality - the expansion pack is meant to be played in one playthrough. There's no need to save as it takes not even an hour to complete - whether you know what to do or not.

I guess the lack of save should as said here increase the terror, but also add the feeling of inescapebility, where you know you can stop it, but you also know that once you do, that's it. It might be a wrong design choice, but it' an interesting one non of the less.
I kinda agree that no savepoint in an 30 - 45 minute playthrough could be difficult and you maybe have to replay it several times. On the other hand in the original Amnesia you can save whenever you want and a death had no penalty. In my opinion manually saving or a respawn after death is a bit immersion-breaking.
Been a while since I've been on here, but hey, why not start here.

Having the ability to save anywhere in The Dark Descent was really a drawback to me. The fear is less imposing if you have the ability to pause, leave, and come back to the exact same point as before, which is odd considering the death mechanic can completely break the horror when you realise that respawning also gets rid of the enemy.

I alway found the Justine DLC to be the better part of The Dark Descent due to that function. With the save function gone, death becomes more scary due to the fact that you will have to take on the experience again. I also liked the music more though Mikko Tarmia is to thank for that (seriously, the suitor chase music is gripping yet uncanny).

When it comes to horror, you need to handle your save system well, otherwise it's an exploit.
