Hey guys.

I looked for hours to get Amnesia started and looked in any sites and threads for help.
The problem is whenever i start the launcher and wanna strat the game I get the Black Box error.
I looked at the two main threads for finding some help too.
Now here it comes...
Yesterday i had Windows XP SP3 on my computer and it worked totally fine.
Today i got Windows Vista SP1 with all the updates of graphic cards and etc. and it still won t work.
I decieded to look if my graphic card is up to date and it is!
So my main problem is that i doesn t have and hpl.log file in my main order and i can t put it in here.

Sry for my bad english. I m a german student who is still learning this leanguag.

P.S I got a nvidia geforce 520 graphic card.

Hope somebody could help me.

What's that about the hpl.log? Does it not show up? If it does, post it here.

Have you tried reinstalling your graphics drivers? Perhaps they are corrupt.

Sry I don' t know much about forums and threads and where it should be.
I did it twice still don' work!

Checking for updates via Device Manager/Windows Update is not doing anything. Manually download and install your graphics card drivers:

I' m not that stupid!
I searched and downloaded it from the original nvidia website.

You'd be surprised by how many people believe that way is how to update drivers.

Attach HPL.log after problem occurs as mentioned at the troubleshooting guide, problem x

Like i said in the beginning of this thread, the hpl.log doesn t show up in the main folder so I can' t attach it.
Now I' m going to redownload the game again and reinstall my graphic card.
Tell you later if it worked or not.
