I've had this thing in my mind for some time: Power vs. Money. These two factors are what runs the current society and both of these, in many cases, makes a man evil. Which do you think is more "valuable"? Can money buy power? Can power buy money? Are rich people powerful? Are powerful people rich?

Personally I vote for power. With money you can be the most arrogant piece of shit nobody cares about. With power you have no limits and can cut off who ever is whining and rule with everybody showing respect.
Power is better in my opinion. With power you can lead people and charisma is more reliable than money in some cases.

However, when you say power, what do you actually mean? Having superpowers or being a leader of something?
Not super powers. Leader, owner, etc.

Maybe I'm just growing up, but recently I've just started to look around and notice that many leaders might not be rich in the essence of the meaning, still live like superstars.
I'd pay any ammounts of money to shoot lazers from my hands.
Define "power". What exactly do you mean by power?

the power that people consider your opinion more than the opinion of the average joe

on topic:

That's a really good question, for the moment, I'd say money. With enough money you can get as enough power as you want.
In this case, I pick power anyways instead of money. I don't need money if what I want to do can already be done with my resources.
Money > Power. Money cannot buy you happiness but you can sure start issuing bribes.

Money can also get you and your family places provided the source was not exactly an illegal act, and if your income is sustainable. Power on the other hand, people can really jump to conclusions quickly if they believe an abuse of power is present.

It also may apply to diferent 'social' contexts. While not exactly society, on this forum, Power > Money because Moderators have greater influence over users. In an economical sense, businesses with more money have more power, as they can buy out small businesses, merge and export for profit to eliminate the competition.
Power is nice, sure. If you want to be a leader. I don't want to be a leader.

So I'm on money. If I take the money, I'll let someone better get the power
But money = power?
