Is it me, or do some pictures look like it's underwater?
(Especially the top left picture)

actually ya it does to me

It would be interesting if they made a game of H.P. Lovecraft's book The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath. it would also be an interesting experiment of story telling.
Now I know little info is out about this project, but this thread will serve as the official discussion for it as any info/video/etc is released.

I know, from the site here http://frictionalgames.blogspot.ca/2012/...later.html that this project is NOT Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs that is coming soon. This new project {to save on typing, let's call the Super Secret Project as HPL3} sounds promising, despite being short information. Their pdf, haven't read all of it but glanced at sections (plan on reading all if it when time permits) says they really want to change how the game is played.

To quote from the site "One of the things I was most disappointed with in Amnesia was that it never really managed to deliver any deeper themes, but was more like a shallow fright-fest. For the new project we want to change that and really try and bring a certain theme to the front. Our hope is that this will create a very special experience, creating horror in a much more disturbing way." Now Amnesia: The Dark Descent was considered the scariest game thus far made, even expanding on the interactive mechanics Penumbra introduced, and compared to HPL3 it wouldn't be to scary at all! If they can bring deep themes, more real life-like experience, then they would succeed in making a truly scary world.

Considering I got nervous with playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent with lights on, even I might be scared when playing.
Am I the only one super excited about the sunlight/directional lighting system?
I don't really watch the graphics, I watch the part of the game that interests me the most.
I know it's not about graphics to make a game, but it adds another system which could be extremely useful if they continue to allow custom story modding. Knowing that there is directional shadow casting light, it's quite obvious that we will be seeing outdoor areas. More places for modders to explore comfortably, you know? The HDR is a very nice touch as well. =]
It is. I stated my opinion. But yeah, outdoor environments can provide a great change.
