As I said, god is not automatically part of a religion. He is also part of of science in astrology for example.

Does anyone actually believe there'll be aliens in SOMA? So far we don't have enough information about the origin of those weird mechanical monstrosities - whether they were created by the Omikron organization, a separate human group, by other robots or by aliens.

Come to think of it, the Frictional canon possesses a lot of supernatural elements with a dash of science-fiction, but I don't recall there being ghosts. The closest we have to that are Oswald's sons, and even then they're implied to be zombies revived by mad science.
