Interesting quote from Grip to the monster topic:

“It’ll be nearly five years since we released Amnesia when SOMA comes out,” concluded Grip. “There have been tons of experiences like it since then. You’ve had games where you’re chased by monsters and you’re running away. Games like Slender even fit that bill to an extent. I think many of the people who found Amnesia to be fresh might not find that experience fresh four or five years later. My hope is that players will be looking for something new, and that’s the experience we want to provide. I don’t feel like adding more monsters or something is the right way to progress from Amnesia.”

I just find some things very unrealistic:

- Monsters are walking under the ocean! Do you know how difficult it is to walk under water? It's almost impossible!

- Too many objects are floating in the water. I would like it to see a hand full floating objects, but normally things either were swimming on the plane or sinking to the ground.

- Underwater computers and radio messages?
A few more gameplay scenes:

Radio messages are possible, but I agree with the rest. Also:

- How can he talk underwater?
- How can he walk uderwater or pick up things and throw them? Do you know how much strength this requires?
- How can he survive the strong pressure underwater?

I hope these things willl be somehow explained or resolved because they are quite obvious and they can break the immersion.
I like it to interact with all the useless stuff in the environment. The video showed that you can pick up every crap and move or throw it around. That's what I always like from Frictional Games and what I missed in AMFP.

Nice to have this feature back!Cool

99,99% agree.

The only thing that that puzzles me is how is he able to pick up thing and throw them underwater.

Not every location is underwater and at the underwater parts it looks more like pushing than throwing. I think everything is OK here.

Mmm, I'm most probably way off but maybe it's located in Ireland. I didn't notice the map you said but if indeed it shows the Atlantic, it could make sense. At their latest official video we see the code 902901 which apparently is the sort code of the Bank of Ireland. Seems too far fetched to be a hint but who knows... Wink

I can't be bothered to go back and pinpoint the exact time, but the map actually shows trajectories that go across the Atlantic ocean and converge at a point in the South of the Atlantic. I'm pretty sure that indicates that PATHOS-2 is indeed an underwater base and not an Irish one.

Sorry to disappoint you. :p

Elaborate?

Quote:- How can he survive the strong pressure underwater?
Nobody knows how actually deep it is. May be there is no need for breathing liquid at all.

Besides, it is a game. Remember Bioshock? Yeah.
