Should we try to remove the whirlpool img?
(05-29-2015, 12:31 PM)BahamutPT Wrote: [ -> ]Let's post here too, because... why not?

I think they may be trying to tell us some info from the image (maybe the whirlpool/maelstrom) is redundant and not usable.

Code:
> locate chr2img protocol

This alludes to the fact that we may be working with a char corresponding to each image.

Code:
> data clean up start
processing...
> redundant c2i protocol data found

This would mean some c2i (char2img) data is redundant, with an image similar to one of the eight we have below.

Edit:

Also, since people were interested in this kind of thing yesterday, the description near the maelstrom reads something like: "Here is the horrible Charybdis"
Charybdis was a whirlpool thought by Greeks to be a sea monster.

OK, here are possible names for each image:

1. Stargazer, Uranoscopidae
2. Yak, Bos grunniens
3. Cathode, hydrogen, argon
4. Clam worm, Alitta succinea
5. Frictional
6. Whirlpool/Maelstrom/Charybdis/<nothing>
7. Xerosis
8. Janus

4chan thought that the "lo" in each image meant that the characters should be lowercase.

Another complication: would this be a YouTube url, or a login/password for the console?

There does seem to be a lot of Greek going on (Uranos, Argos, Charybdis, Xeros, Janus).

Sure. Got it all out of your system?
Good, now maybe you can actually be useful and contribute to the ARG.

@PathosII Is the intent to remove all images with "lo" as according to the previous rule: "IGN /lo/up/" -> [""]?
Which leaves the whirlpool?

New tweet. Is it possible that he is on the right track and thats why it responded to him?

Syntax error doesn't sound encouraging, but I don't know.
I think he was right, Pathos II is taking defensive actions..
On second thought, "syntax error" doesnt feel encouraging.
Any kind soul willing to write up a decent summary on what happened since I left? Last thing I remember we just discovered 4 terminals, 4 code words and 2 locked unknown doors.

Also weird code word in pk23

I think it may actually mean that its wrong and that we are to "reroute" our efforts elsewhere or try something else with that image.
But the syntax error occurs before pathos reroutes the gel and tags that user.
I think he may be right.
