For some reason I have a weird hunch that SOMA might share some similarity with System Shock 2 in terms of story.

Like what, for example? I've played Shock2 and loved every second of it, the atmosphere really drew me in, and yeah, that's something both SOMA and Shock2 have.

Story-wise, Shock2 is about a rogue manipulative AI vs an alien infestation onboard a spaceship and SOMA is about a rundown underwater research lab populated by machines with human consciousnesses. I think SOMA's story will be much richer, focusing heavily on philosophic concepts like consciousness. Well, I'd say SOMA will deliver a story that will make you think a lot more about all these concepts.

Hey, does anyone know which day SOMA will be showcased at E3? I'm dying to see what Frictional Games is up to next for SOMA.

Not sure if FG will actually be shown on the stream, or if they're just gonna be on the showroom floor demoing SOMA for journalists and attendees, but I guess we'll find out soon enough!

I literally just saw that live on Twitch ten minutes ago.

I was a little disappointed on how short of a time SOMA was given to be shown, but other then that the new monster that you "don't look at" seems pretty scary.

Wow the monster looks quite humanoid. Like a human with a disco globe as head. I also dont hear any robotic sounds while it is running ._.
