We have workshop, cloud and achievements in SOMA, this require Steam to run. The Steam DRM, which is an option we can use, we do not use.
GOG is the best and only option to avoid DRM, or DRM-like, features.
The game is also available in the Humble Store now, but only as a Steam key.

Thanks for the info!
Hmm, didn't know that "Steam DRM" was actually something optional that you can choose to use or not.
Thank you Jens for the reply. Is there any chance for a DRM-free copy on Humble Store? Maybe later?
Afraid very unlikely, we would rather not have to make installers and updaters. Using Steam/GOG is so smooth as we don't have to do that

On the steam page, it does not have SOMA listed as having Steam Trading Cards. Can we expect to see them in future? I wouldn't mind some of the pictures I've seen so far about SOMA be one of my steam backgrounds. *smirk*
So, I bought SOMA via Humble Store, when will I receive key? Just before launch or after?
Don't know their policy, they have the keys, but I guess they might wait with activating them until later.
Probably too early to ask about this, but will the soundtrack be available for purchase?
Cheers Jens.
Oh, I see, thank you for answer.
