Something else interesting, Soma has achievements

I'm not sure how achievements really add anything to a horror game like this but whatever, I'll just turn off the notifications. I feel like this decision was another one of those things to make the game more accessible
Also I just checked the steam page, where they have a very active forum, thomas even posts pinned topics on the 'somatic philosophy.' Interesting.
edit: just had a look at the steam forum. don't bother. it's a cesspool
My intuition is that teleportation would kill "me", and that consciousness is somehow tied to location/continuity.
Disturbingly, it's impossible to verify this. We can't trust the assurances of people who've used the teleporter.
A relevant comic.
Looks like SOMA game website got updated too:

Yeah, I'll be disabling the Steam overlay, too. I don't want my experience of SOMA to be interrupted by anything, least of all superfluous dreck like achievement notifications, regardless of how tastefully and tactfully they've been implemented.

Lol It's like for 2 days now but I'm too lazy to tell about that.
About the teleportation thing, I don't believe all atoms in your brain are replaced ever
Unrelated, does anyone remember the average time it took for playtesters to finish amnesia before it came out? I want to compare the game lengths. Normally it takes me ~5 hours longer than the 'average' length because I spent so much time looking at everything
If the teleportation machine does not destroy the atom it's analyzing, we get a cloning machine. By intuition the person entering a cloning machine will not feel that his consciousness had been teleported. I believe the teleportation machine kills the person entering it instead of teleporting the persons mind
