Hello.

I am big fan of frictional games (I've played through all of them so far), I was about to pre-purchase SOMA, but I saw Win 7 requirement. I have older computer (but with capable graphics card R9 270) with Vista 64bit. Is it known that it will not work on Vista, or it wasn't just tested on them?
The game does not officially support Vista. It will likely not work on Vista, but you can always try.

My recommendation?

Buy Windows 7 (or 10, but I'm one of those 10 haters)
I believe it will run on Vista ×64 SP2. But probably not. It's 50:50.
Yeah it will work, but it won't. No, but for real, I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work on Vista. Imho it should.
Vista should work, only that we have not tested with Vista so can't say for sure.

I have a Windows Vista 64 bit SP2 pc and this is the Windows error message I receive when I try to run SOMA.

Try this one https://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thread-30665.html will be part of upcoming patch to fix support for vista.
Hello,

I've just installed GOG version of SOMA on Vista 64bit. I've got attached error.

But https://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thread-30665.html saved the day. I am able to enter the game and everything seems fine. Can't wait for the weekend, when I will start playing it.... Thanks
