That's good to hear, maybe I won't have to turn off the notification after all
Will the game have moments when you pick up something and then monster appears?

It was based a lot based on the interactions between characters. Since a lot of our dialog comes without faces, having a male and a female voice makes it easier to tell them apart. Then we discussed how we wanted to distribute the sexes. We were actually close on having a Simone instead, but because different reasons we went with male. Smile

I'm very exited about SOMA and the PC Mod tools.
How advanced will be Modding for SOMA? Will you be able to create custom stories only or even more than that. For example textures, models, animations or even gameplay effects?
You should be able to mod just about anything. You can even make a mod that changes the shaders that the game uses! You can just drop any files you want into the mod dir and it will replace the ones the main game uses.

Regarding the scripting - with HPL3 you're currently able to override any aspect of gameplay that you like without modifying the original files. Files in your mods directory structure will override those in the main game. So if you want to take an existing script in the game, tweak it to taste - you can do this.

Yes, you can also add more features on top. Modding and adding extra functionality is far easier and more advanced than it has been in the past. You can basically go back to the days of total conversions if you like Smile
Not necessarily a question about Soma, but .... now that Soma is nearing a release will Frictional games begin working on a new project?

VR would be fun to do at some point. As with so many other things, it will depend on how successful SOMA is. Would be fun to add VR support just so people can make VR mods, but have to see how much time we have and what the team feels like.

We tried to make sure all appearances feel less scripted, which I assume your question was about Smile
Has there been a problem with the production of the companion film Depth, or was it decided to simply release it at a latter date?
