Trying to play SOMA from Steam. Pre-loaded, deleted, re-downloaded, validated, and still having the same issue. When I try to open the game in Steam, there are two options: Play SOMA and Play SOMA. Neither work. If I run Soma.exe or Soma_NoSteam.exe directly from the file folder, I get the following error message: "The procedure entry point GetThreadGroupAffinity could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll." I've also tried running as Administrator and encounter the same error. I've attached my DxDiag.txt.

Fixed it for me.

"A newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable has been detected on the machine."

Do you get the same error message with the fixed exe?

Could you try this exe and then send me the hpl.log file from Documents\My Games\Soma?

Same error. And there is no Documents\My Games\Soma. I don't think it's reaching the point where it would create that folder and file.
Ok then it must crash directly.
See if this one works: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2378...Vista3.zip

If that also fails then I dont think its possible to add Windows Vista support
