While searching around for other possible solutions to gain a Tool Chip for the Zeppelin without killing some robot at Delta, I went aboard the crashed escape pod again with gun and all. When I tried to climb out again, I did hear the sound in the background but Simon never got out, was warped into the bottom of the pod instead and could not move around at all nor interact with the surroundings anymore.

Loading previous save solved my issue, but just wanted to report it.
