Okay so I've spent most of the night updating drivers and checking installations and graphics cards and all that jazz, I've looked at the forums and both troubleshooting guides and yet no matter what I do I have the issue of SOMA crashing as soon as I try to boot it up. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you so much for your time!!!
Could you post your hpl.log file? Problem X of the troubleshooting guide has instructions on where to find it. Your hpl.log gives us an overview of your system and can help us further figure out your problem.

Yeah of course!!! Sorry I thought I did but I guess it got messed up or something. Here, did it attach this time?
Oops sorry here it is![attachment=5460]
Your Intel HD 3000 graphics card does not support OpenGL 3.3 so the game cannot run on it. I guess you could try updating to the latest Intel drivers using the Have Disk Method as show at the Graphics Card Troubleshooting Guide but it won't change anything (unless Intel adds software support of OpenGL 3.3 instead of hardware which they won't).
Okay, thanks! I wasn't sure since it showed 3.1 and the Troubleshooting Guide said 1.1 was the incompatible branch. Thank you for your time!
The Troubleshooting Guide says that 3.3 is required. If you see 1.1 it means that you have no graphics card drivers installed. That's not the case here of course.

I also tested it on my own HD 3000 system and it crashed as well. Only Intel HD 4000/2500 (3rd generation cpus) can run the game (in theory, not officially supported).
