You see it in the distance while riding the zeppelin, but I think that's it. According to reddit, it has an attack animation, so maybe it originally played a bigger role.

There's tons and tons of stuff that was cut or dummied out of the game, can't believe I missed this shark in the files, atleast they kept the mutant anglerfish.

Apparently Akers and the proxies also have a vent crawling animation according to some of the reedit soma community, it's a shame it was never used for any sequence in the game, it would have been terrifying.
Funny thing I just noticed (and that probably nobody cared about), the ambient music for the robot head girl is the same as the one used for the deep sea diver/Yoshida. The speed is just different (-30%). Almost sounds like two distinct themes.
I sometimes think that the dizziness and static effects which occur when you look down into the Depths outside Omicron were inspired by BonesTheRabbit's idea in this post.

The former is Peter Strasky's Mockingbird and the latter is Johan Ross. http://i.imgur.com/JpXMc28.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Ww3WBMB.jpg

Not only can that conversation happen in Theta Labs but it also can in the main level of Theta, in the building outside Omicron or in Phi.

His birthdate in the future being wrong could either be a mistake, or the records just not being accurate after so much time.
Since FG corrected the information in his legacy scan, it seems Simon was born in 16th of July, 1988 for sure.

And some things that I don't think is easy to find but no one has mentioned here yet...

1. It looks like the title SOMA only appears twice during the game: "pkg_soma_hum" and "Preparing" and "Sending SOMA template..." http://i.imgur.com/PFotqVQ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/zhz5F8I.jpg

2. This Mockingbird could be Vigdis "Jonsy" Jonsdottir's since it's the same voice actor, Sesselia Olafs and Jonsy was "the strong silent type". You can never hear her voice even when she and her crew are in serious trouble, except the two voice files in Upsilon where she worked as a dispatcher. http://i.imgur.com/WEHjzp1.jpg

3. In Delta, you can have a brief conversation with Alan Waldeck's Mockingbird if you call Zeppelin 216. http://i.imgur.com/ysHTmZ6.jpg http://i.imgur.com/khQAvNw.jpg

4. There's an intercom on the Zeppelin, through which you can hear Terry Akers speaking to WAU. It is only available when the Zeppelin is not moving. http://i.imgur.com/5cEQpK6.jpg

5. After the intact memory chip is inserted, you can keep uploading irrelevant brain scans other than Brandon Wan's to annoy Catherine. She will sigh with disappointment and frustration eventually. http://i.imgur.com/yAu0XAz.jpg http://i.imgur.com/zaWfZZU.jpg http://i.imgur.com/SENwr7N.jpg

6. The voice file in the building outside Omicron is still accessible even after the omnitool is removed. So you can talk with Catherine and hold your omnitool at the same time here. http://i.imgur.com/kntC5OT.jpg http://i.imgur.com/AE7Xejq.jpg

7. Jin Yoshida will start to chase you with full speed only if you don't go out of sight for long enough or throw something at him. You can exploit this to make him stuck. If you hit him with something and hide behind a door right away, he will stand still there regardless of the ongoing chase music. As long as you don't show yourself to him, you can move around freely as much as you want. The chase music will stop and he will resume wandering when you climb up the ladder. Unlike the Flesher in CURIE, Yoshida stays and roams around there even after you proceed to the upper level, so I think this is the only way you can explore the laboratories without having to look back. http://i.imgur.com/5fJglLR.jpg

8. When Sarah Lindwall releases the ARK so that you can take it, it's paused at "DAY 312 - 10:07:31" no matter how much time you've spent. It seems people inside it have been living there for quite a while already. http://i.imgur.com/HvPFNBF.jpg

9. In the Dive Room of Tau, you can find Catherine's records in a cabinet. http://i.imgur.com/Lv7FXLQ.jpg
Nice finds, especially Catherine's records at Tau! I thought I'd searched Tau very carefully, but I never saw that.

Not only can that conversation happen in Theta Labs but it also can in the main level of Theta, in the building outside Omicron or in Phi.

I think it happens the first time that you use a WAU flower while Catherine's plugged in. It can also happen at Phi.

EDIT: Whoops, you already mentioned Phi.

Thank you, Ghyl. And yes, exactly. So it's possible that you never let it happen at all.
Replaying Soma,

Just noticed on Delta, before boarding the Zeppelin for departure to Theta,
my little Buddy Robot "shakes its head in disapproval" because I killed the large robot, and hence I was removing the chip.

Then, perhaps the little Cutie, Buddy Robot could be "waving good-bye" ..... ?

Still, it looked to me as a Disapproving gesture.....

How can I be getting attached to a little, cute robot ...... well done Frictional, for playing on my emotions Smile
I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel, but here are a few more observations:

1. There's a panel next to the scanning device at PACE. If you mess around with it, Munshi complains.

2. Near the first Crawler you encounter, there's a crab with glowing eyes. Weird!

3. At Lambda, if you plug in the Omnitool before talking to Catherine, her dialogue changes slightly.

4. On the CURIE, if you talk to Catherine after visiting the engine room (but before pulling out the tentacles), she has some extra dialogue about the WAU.

5. It's possible to get locked out of the DUNBAT room, if you press the red button and leave quickly.

6. If you climb the stairs next to the Omega Space Gun, then jump down, you can go over the railing.
When the construct wakes up, the pneumatic seal that was on the door will vanish, even if you took it with you.
Also if the door was open, then it will still function normally. If you had closed the door, it will be smashed open and the door button will be off.
