DLC (which means DownLoadable Content) does not has to be an expansion or something like that.
If they release commentary after initial release, it'll be a DLC.
I ordered a second copy today, that I will gift away to someone when the game is released! Smile
1494 pre-orders... we just might make it Big Grin
Exactly 1500 preorders right now. There will be more in the next three days. I'm sure of it.

For any left over, I'd suggest another gameplay video or trailer. Since you have a page up on Steam now, you could use that for publicity and get more preorders.
It looks like the 50% off sale is going to push Amnesia's preorders to around 1700 by the time it's over. It'll be so close to 2000!

Yo Thomas, you wanna know what I think would help with the final push to get beyond 2000? Of course you do!

Have a net wide 75% off deal for the Penumbra pack for a few days...

PLUS

Do what 2DBoys did with World of Goo and host a pay-what-you-want for the Penumbra pack from your own store at the same time (but, unlike 2Dboys, I would try to set a minimum pay amount of like $0.25-0.50 to get rid of all the penny purchases and cover the transaction costs of paypal and/or credit card vendors). 2DBoy had tremendous success with it: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2009/10/...g-results/
Just preordered. I went the currently "predictable" way - bought the Humble Bundle, got hooked on Overture, bought the collection for $5, and decided this type of gaming and linux support should be supported Big Grin
1609 atm.

What happens if we end up with 199x?

We are already doing that Smile Well sorta at least. The Humble Indie Bundle let one get Penumbra: Overture (and 5 other games!) for any amount one wants to. Also, all who gets the bundle can get Penumbra at 75% off.
I think these "pay what you want" initiatives are really neat but overdoing them would be a mistake
1861 Big Grin

I think we're going to get it! Wink
