Currently we have raised the bar to supporting Leopard and Snow Leopard.. I would like to gather feedback on What OS everyone is using for the Mac Community.

I'm not very computer literate at all when it comes to stuff like this, so I might not even be answering the question properly.

I am using Snow Leopard on my iMac.
I'm in the same boat as Bulbatron, so if I'm confused I'm sorry (specs and OS for 21.5 iMac):

Mac OS X version 10.6.3 Snow Leopard
3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Due
1920 x 1080 Resolution
4 GB memory
500 GB hard drive
8x double-layer SuperDrive
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics

I want to pre order but not before i know if i will be able to run it. If a developer should happen to see this (or gamer) when they find out more about Amnesia requirements please comment on the above specs as to whether this mac can handle the game (even if special effects need be lowered). It handled Overture and Black Plague okay.
Well, I can say that this rig will handle even me Tongue
  • iMac
  • 2.4 GHz
  • 3GB of Memory (Upgraded)
  • 1680 x 1050
  • ATI Radeon HD 2400

I was able to run the Penumbra series (Possibly excluding Requiem) with the highest settings, but Anisotropy and Antialiasing at 0.
Will I be able to get a good frame rate on Amnesia, with low or medium settings?

Yes it will definitely run it.. If you look at my signature.. I'm developing the mac and linux port on a 2006 MAc Pro running an NVidia 7300 and an ATI 2600 HD card.. so MUCH older than what you have.. And currently I am developing on Mac OS X 10.6.3. Right now we are most likely going to be targeting 10.5 and above. (ie.. no tiger support unless I get a lot of requests for it). I will still be providing a PPC binary for Leopard though so PPC users *may* still be able to play if their video card is good enough.

I am using Snow Leopard on my iMac.

Go to the "apple" menu and choose "About This Mac".. and that tell you a brief overview of the system. Clicking on More Info will give you details on what video card you have (Nvidia or ATI and hopefully not an Intel GMA)
Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.4 (always update)
Intel Core 2 Duo 2,66Ghz
Main resolution 1680x1050
4Gb DDR2 SDRAM
ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256Mb
