nah l4d2...
they make the zombies dissapear when you killed em
That's not too bad. Killing Floor does that.
In L4D2's Aussie version at least half the detail in the environment isn't gone, and besides, the enemies in Quake 4 gib after ten seconds anyway. There is still plenty of blood.
Still no answer. Too bad. Well, still 3 weeks left I suppose.

Anyway, I can now confirm that deleting the Spider files removes those things from the game. Except for the Spider on the Table near the beginning of Overture.
But deleting the files breaks a script in Black Plague. During the "Silent Hill Style" Scene on the Ship it's required that you get attacked by a Spider otherwise the game won't continue.
Ok, seeing that there are developers posting in other threads I assume that they don't want to answer this question.
I thought about preordering the game without knowing the answer but then again I didn't receive any support regarding the Bug that prevents me from finishing Black Plague.

No pruchase from me then.
At this point I am afraid we cannot comment on what will and not will be in the game. This is because we simply have not decided yet on certain things.
:OOO OMG, they're not decided yet! This is scarier than Penumbra!

Thats an answer I can live with. But would still be nice to know before the 20% preorder offer ends. I have no idea when it ends though. There is no date anywhere. Only the 2000 preorders till May one.
There should be spiders in Amnesia. They were a spooky, yet memorable part of Penumbra. I think all of Frictional's games should have at least some spiders as a wink to previous games Smile
Just from a story POV, how are they going to continually explain the evolution of giant spiders?

Personally I hated the spiders in Penumbra, not because I'm an arachnophobe but because they were frustratingly difficult to avoid and very difficult to kill. Then again, I'm probably one of the few people who loved Requiem because there were no monsters at all. I liked Prenumbra for the puzzles, exploration and story telling with a creepy twist, not the running and hiding from various creatures. Less is more ...
